"Results help too. When you start winning, it restores your confidence."

It was a great Roma performance tonight...
"We knew it would be difficult as Udinese are in fine form but we hardly ran any risks and managed to take one of the first chances we created."

You have a big match against Inter next Saturday. Do you think Roma are ready to get a result there too?
"Definitely. We've shown over the course of the season that we can produce the goods against the big teams. We've won two in a row now and we're improving by the game so in some ways it comes at the right time for us. We have to go and produce another big performance in Milan."

It seems Ranieri is getting you back on track....
"Yes, we're playing really well and it's partly thanks to the gaffer's instructions. Plus, winning matches gives you confidence. We've shown that when we're on our game mentally we're a great side. We just needed to get ourselves straight again and above all restore a bit of belief."

Did you think Samir should have been sent off for his elbow on Juan Jesus?
"To be honest I've not seen it again. We saw there was a coming together but we thought it was a clash of heads - we didn't realise it was an elbow."
