Roma's coach Paulo Fonseca responded to questions about his team's dismal performance against Sassuolo in their last match. Speaking at his pre-match conference ahead of their game against Bologna on Friday, Fonseca discussed the state of the team and the locker room: "We are working to change the mentality, but that was not the only issue against Sassuolo. We made alot of technical mistakes, including mistakes I made. It was a problem with the approach to the match, but after two goals that they scored we lost equilibrium. The players have proven over the course of the season that they have ambition and we work every day to remind them. We have only displayed this negative mentality in 3-4 matches. I have a few doubts for the match on Friday, so I won't reveal the formation. Kolarov is a leader and he could start."

"When Carles Perez arrived I asked how many teams in Spain man-mark. He replied that none did. Here rather there are many teams who have this sort of tactic, it's not easy to face. Dzeko spoke that we were all responsible. He didn't speak about any youth or any mistakes. It seemed more like advice than criticism. He now is the leader in the dressing room. We lost and he gave his advice. The bad form? When you lose to Sassuolo in that manner, you will naturally talk about it."
