DI FRANCESCO'S pre-Frosinone press conference in full

oss Eusebio Di Francesco faced the media on Friday afternoon, to preview Saturday's Serie A trip to face Frosinone.

The game at the Stadio Benito Stirpe gets underway at 20:30 local time.

With the derby against Lazio following next week, Di Francesco was asked if he planned to rotate his team selection in light of that game, among other things...

Motivation will be sky-high for your upcoming games against Lazio and Porto. Is there not a risk your minds might be on those matches?

"The most important match for us is the next one, against Frosinone. We saw against Bologna how dangerous it is to take games lightly so we must get our approach spot on for this one. Frosinone did really well in their last home game against Lazio and this will be no easy match. They have a clear playing philosophy and we mustn't underestimate them."

Will you bear in mind the players who are one booking away from suspension when picking the team?

"Some of those who could pick up a suspension will definitely play. It's a mistake to think ahead to the next games. I'll rotate the squad to help us recover our mental energy based on what I saw in the last game."

Will you rest Nicolo Zaniolo?

"He may be rested but I don't want to show my hand just yet. He's played an awful lot for someone of his age and at a high intensity. He's produced some great performances but we can't have him play every game. He could start on the bench tomorrow."

What about Daniele De Rossi? How's he?

"He'll definitely be in the starting line-up tomorrow. He didn't train yesterday but he'll work with the lads today and he'll captain the side tomorrow."

What formation will you play?

"We might go with a 3-5-2 tomorrow to replicate Frosinone's formation."

How's Cengiz Under doing?

"He won't be in the squad for this one as he's not ready yet."

Javier Pastore and Diego Perotti?

"Pastore can't be happy considering how much he's played recently but he's been training really well. I'm happy with what he's doing in training. He often stays behind to train a bit longer to get himself sorted out fitness-wise. He might feature against Frosinone. Perotti is better and he's been training consistently. He could start this one."

How do you feel when you read that Franco Baldini is dealing with matters involving Roma, regardless of yesterday's story, which was denied?

"Roma is a city that likes to unsettle so it doesn't surprise me that people come up with things that make no sense. I'm indifferent to it. Monchi is my point of reference and everything else is just talk. You like to talk about non-football matters because it's easier. Personally, all I'm interested in is Frosinone."

Edin Dzeko seemed a bit wound up at the end of the game against Bologna. How is he?

"You have off-days in football and they were all a bit agitated, including Edin. I hope he'll soon be back among the goals because he'll be our centre forward tomorrow and it's important for us to win."

Will Justin Kluivert start again tomorrow?

"There are three players in contention for the two wide berths: [Stephan] El Shaarawy, Perotti and him. I'll decide tomorrow which of them will start."

How important is it for Roma to become unpredictable again?

"It's not easy to be unpredictable when your opponents drop off and sit tight. If you're able to pull your opponents out of position, then you're more unpredictable. Frosinone tend to sit back and wait so it's not easy to get in behind them. It won't be an easy game. In any case it will be a different match to the one against Bologna, both because of the formation and the attributes of the opposition. We'll need to go into tomorrow's with a different mindset to the one we showed against Bologna."

Zaniolo is one of the players who will pick up a suspension the next time he's booked. Do you think he's been given special treatment by referees recently?

"I don't want to make excuses. He has to realise that a physical player doesn't need to go down all the time. In certain games he's been a bit too vehement and aggressive and hasn't been able to win the ball off opponents. I've noticed that he hasn't been given many fouls and in some cases he perhaps deserved to get a few more."
