AS Roma are delighted to announce that Alessandro Florenzi has signed a long-term contract extension with the club.
The 27-year-old, a product of the club's academy system, has agreed to a new contract that will run until 30 June 2023.
Now the club's vice-captain, Florenzi made his debut for the Giallorossi during the 2010-11 season. After a season on loan at Crotone, he returned to the club ahead of the 2012-13 campaign and has been a regular presence every since.
To date Florenzi has made 222 appearances for the club in all competition, scoring 25 goals.
"I am very pleased with Alessandro's decision, both of us have always been keen to continue this beautiful story together," Roma sporting director monchi said.
"For us, Alessandro is not just an important player - but one of our leaders."
