AS Roma can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Serie A side Atalanta for the transfer of forward Marco Tumminello.
Tumminello, 19, will join the Bergamo side for a fee of €5 million. As part of the deal, Roma will also receive 50% of any profit Atalanta may make if they sell the striker in future for a fee greater than €5m.
The Giallorossi also retain the option to re-sign Tumminello at any point for the next two seasons.
The buy-back fee is set at €13m at the end of the first season, and €15m at the end of the second.
Tumminello, an Italy youth international, is a former member of the Roma academy - helping Alberto De Rossi's squad to Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa victory during his time with the Under-19s.
At the start of last season he made his full debut for the Giallorossi under coach Eusebio Di Francesco, coming on as a substitute against Inter Milan.
He spent the rest of the 2017-18 campaign out on loan at Crotone - scoring three goals in nine appearances, despite suffering a knee injury that sidelined him for a significant part of campaign.
