After clinching a spot in next season's Champions League, Roma can now focus on improving Di Francesco's squad. Sporting director Monchi has identified Ivan Marcano as the right profile for the backline, and today progress was made in the negotiation for the Spanish defender whose contract with Porto expires this June. The deal with Marcano could be completed any day now, while he's a natural central defender he can also play on the left. Marcano is set to start the next chapter of his career in Serie A.
