Emerson Palmieri has posted a long farewell message to Roma fans on Wednesday, after completing his transfer to Premier League side Chelsea.

The full-back, 23, joined the Blues after a successful two-and-a-half year stay with the Giallorossi, where he emerged as a first-team regular last season after initially having to prove himself at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Brazilian-born left-back, who qualified for Italian citizenship last year, reflected on his journey in the Italian capital in a post on Instagram.
