Read what defender Federico Fazio had to say in the wake of Roma's 0-0 draw with Chievo Verona on Sunday.

Fazio made his 50th Serie A appearance for the Giallorossi during the match, as Chievo goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino made a number of great saves.

JOURNALIST: Was today an opportunity missed?

FAZIO: "Today was a great chance to win. We did well defensively. We created a lot but we lacked a bit of luck and couldn't find the goal - and they were very good as well, especially the goalkeeper Sorrentino.

"We had chances to score in a lot of different ways, with [Patrik] Schick, [Edin] Dzeko, [Aleksandar] Kolarov... we created a lot, especially after the break, playing almost entirely in Chievo's half."

What does this mean as far as the league goes?

"We put in a good performance, it's a shame we didn't get the three points to go with it. But nothing is decided: we must continue to work and win the next game at home against Cagliari. We are now all thinking about the next game. Let's look ahead: there are still a lot of points to play for, and in a week or so we face Juventus in Turin."

Against Genoa you also missed out on the chance to close the gap at the top. Is there a weakness in that sense?

"No, at other times we have had the opportunity to pick up points on others and we have done it. For example against SPAL, when we won after knowing that Juventus and Napoli would have to face each other."
